Kitting : Inbounding Products for a Kit

Once a kit has been created, the next step is to inbound the products that will be included in it.

This process is commonly referred to as Kitting.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to inbound products into your kit:

Step 1 : Follow the usual inbound order creation process. Steps to create an inbound order.

In this scenario, select the kit from the product dropdown when creating an inbound order:

Assign the user as required who is required to complete the inbound order. This order can be completed from mobile and web both :

Once the inbound order is completed. The kit will have all the products as required to the 100% quantity. The stock can be checked under the stock tab.

De-Kitting : Outbounding Products from a Kit

When products need to be removed from a kit, the process is known as De-Kitting.

In this process, the products are outbounded.

There are two ways to outbound the products and update quantity in the kit

In this scenario, select the kit from the product dropdown when creating an outbound order:

Assign the user as required who is required to complete the inbound order. This order can be completed from mobile and web both :

Once the outbound order is completed. The stock of the kit is updated with the required quantity. The stock can be checked under the stock tab.

Simply navigate to stock > one of the product in the kit > update the quantity and click on process

Navigate to stock > open the kit > the product would be outbounded or the count will be updated
